La Socarrada
In 1968, the archaeologist Vilafranquí Pere Giró found in the vineyard of “La Socarrada” several remains of Iberian origin dating back to the 1st century BC. Among others, whole ceramic amphorae were found. Making this macabeo with ceramics is a way of connecting with a place that has witnessed viticulture for 2000 years.
The label drawn by our son Joan Milà represents a sun that “Socarra” in honor of the plot, but it can also recall the zenithal view of the wine when it boils in the amphora.
